Guest Akiko Masuda uses the technique of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, to create a beautiful pendant.
Materials --

Variety of colors, shapes and sizes of Czech and Japanese glass beads
Variety of colors, shapes and sizes of Austrian Crystal beads
Jump rings
Findings
Clasps
28-gauge silver wire cut into three 70" pieces
Wire cutters
#8 crochet tool

  1. Take one of the 70" wires, and bead one third of the wire with a variety of colors, shapes and sizes of glass and crystal beads randomly.

  2. Do the same thing with the other two wires.

  3. Using the crochet needle, begin crocheting each of the wires (figure A) separately until all three wires are finished.

  4. Twist one of the ends of the three wires together.

  5. Braid the three crocheted strands together (figure B).

  6. Twist the ends of the three wires together.

  7. Lastly, finish by adding a jump ring and clasp.

    Note: You can vary the gauge of wire and color of beads you use for different stunning variations (figure C).
