 Guest Akiko Masuda uses the technique of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, to create a beautiful pendant.

Materials --Variety of colors, shapes and sizes of Czech and Japanese glass beads Variety of colors, shapes and sizes of Austrian Crystal beads Jump rings Findings Clasps 28-gauge silver wire cut into three 70" pieces Wire cutters #8 crochet tool

- Take one of the 70" wires, and bead one third of the wire with a variety of colors, shapes and sizes of glass and crystal beads randomly.
- Do the same thing with the other two wires.
- Using the crochet needle, begin crocheting each of the wires (figure A) separately until all three wires are finished.
- Twist one of the ends of the three wires together.
- Braid the three crocheted strands together (figure B).
- Twist the ends of the three wires together.
- Lastly, finish by adding a jump ring and clasp.
Note: You can vary the gauge of wire and color of beads you use for different stunning variations (figure C).
